When choosing a finish,
bear in mind the impact the finish will have on the sound.
Relative to raw brass, lacquer will warm the sound, silver
plate will brighten slightly, and gold will leave the sound
virtually unchanged.
The finishes listed below are our
standard finishes; variations on these finishes are also
possible. Please visit our Custom Options page for

Silver Plate
For the Silver finish, the
instrument is buffed and polished to a mirror finish, then
plated with bright silver plate.

For the Gold finish, the
instrument is buffed and polished to a mirror finish, then
plated with 24kt gold plate.

Scratch Silver
The Scratch Silver finish
features a very finely hand scratched surface with accents
such as the inner bell, valve bottoms, button tops and slides
buffed to a mirror finish. The instrument is then plated with
bright silver plate.

The Silver & Gold finish
features an instrument buffed and polished to a mirror finish;
the main instrument body is then plated with bright silver
plate while the slides, valve tops, valve bottoms, button tops
and traditional water keys are plated with 24kt gold
plate.

Clear Lacquer
For the Lacquer finish, the
instrument is buffed and polished to a mirror finish, then
coated with clear gloss lacquer.

Scratch Lacquer
The Scratch Lacquer finish
features a very finely hand scratched surface with accents
such as the inner bell, valve bottoms, button tops and slides
buffed to a mirror finish. The instrument is then coated with
clear gloss lacquer.

Savannah Lacquer
For the Savannah finish, the
instrument is buffed and polished to a mirror finish, then
coated with Savannah gloss lacquer for that unique antique
look - available exclusively from Eclipse.

Gold Lacquer
The Gold Lacquer finish features
a surface completely covered by hand with fine scratches, the
instrument is then coated with a Dark Gold lacquer. This
finish is not avaliable on red brass or copper.

This is an instrument that is
unpolished and without a plating or lacquer.
