 Relative to raw brass, lacquer will warm the sound, silver plate will brighten slightly,
and gold will leave the sound virtually unchanged.

Copper This is not actually a finish; the Copper Eclipse features a solid copper bell, tuning slide, and leadpipe. Copper trumpets are most commonly lacquered, but are available in other finishes.
